Common Wi-Fi problems I fix

No signal upstairs

Strong next to the router, but weak in the bedroom. A common and very fixable problem.

The garden office

Proper internet at the bottom of the garden, without a cable trailing across the lawn.

Paying for speed you don't get

I test what's actually reaching your devices and tell you honestly where the bottleneck is.

Constant drop-outs

Frozen video calls, and endless buffering. Usually interference, channels or tired old kit.

Business and guest Wi-Fi

Separate, secure networks for staff, tills and customers.

The booster that made it worse

Those plug-in extenders often slow things down. I'll set up something that actually works.

How I fix it

  1. Survey. I walk round with a signal meter to see exactly where the Wi-Fi gives up.
  2. Recommend. I explain the options and the costs, from moving the router to mesh Wi-Fi or a wired access point.
  3. Install. I fit and set it up, connect your devices and test every room.
  4. Explain. You'll know how it works, and what to do if the internet ever goes down.

I'm not tied to any brand or broadband company, so the advice is always what's best for your home, not my pocket.
